The Holland Family

I shot the Holland family’s fall mini session back in early October before it actually cooled off. In Alabama, fall can still feel like summer! I had a baby coming soon, so we chose to get their fall session done earlier than normal. They dressed the part well, but it was HOT. Hannah does the best job choosing outfits for everyone. They all looked beautiful! I love this family, and I’m so thankful they allow me to document their memories and milestones with the kids. <3

I met the Northcutt family when Erica was expecting with her daughter. One of my favorite things about photographing families is the relationships I build along the way. I was able to do maternity photos for Erica, and then had the amazing honor of photographing Landyn’s birth. Birth photography is my JAM. I love every aspect of it. Watching a little human enter this world is straight up the coolest experience, and seeing the whole family meet that little baby for the first time MELTS ME. Landyn was a beautiful little baby and has grown and changed so much! Just look at her now. So beautiful and all smiles. Big brother, Gavin, is just as sweet and a joy to photograph. You can see the love in this family, and that makes photographing them and capturing those sweet moments so easy. Just wanted to share a few of my favorites with you guys. :)

One of the coolest things about doing family photography is getting to see the sweet babies you photograph grow and change over the years, like I have with Miss Peyton.

I’ve had the privilege of documenting her first year. From when she was still growing in her mother’s tummy, to her entrance into this world, that sweet newborn phase, and now the milestone of turning ONE.

She has changed so much over the past year and is just ADORABLE.

In an effort to keep it real, I will tell you that photographing small children is not always easy. I’m sure you’re shocked to hear that. ;) BUUUT…this girl. I don't know if I’ve ever had a one year old be this kind of happy. Like smiling the whole session, ya’ll. From start to finish. She didn't even make me work for it either.

I cannot get enough of her toothy grin, that pigtail, and those chubby thighs. Cute, cute, cute.

Can I get a million more Peyton’s please!! :)
